Project Deliverables

Survivor Engagement

A formal research publication developed by our Research Lead at the University of Guelph, based on 125 survivors who have lived experiences of gender-based violence in the Region of Peel.

Volunteer and Survivor Training

Equipping like-minded individuals with valuable skills to support other community members. In the past, we have conducted SAFE-Talk trainings to volunteers, staff and Feminist Collective Members.

Initating ongoing community conversations that focus on keeping ALL community members safe, and ensuring the community feels truly heard.

Advocacy Campaign

Providing education to the community about the realities of gender based violence and how violence is is perpetrated through institutional processes such as victim blaming affidavits, KBG statements and criminalization of the survivor as well as how much of our community's money is being spent on these ineffective methods. Our campaign will also illustrate the current ways that systemic discrimination within various social institutions, combined with under-resourcing, continues to subjugate women and their communities.

Funding for the Feminist Collective has been generously provided by WAGE (Women and Gender Equality Canada).
